Dr Christiano provides a variety of services that include individual, marriage, and family counseling, He prefers to see patients 10 years of age and older, including seniors. Dr Christiano is committed to providing each patient with an exceptional level of care and attention. Our dedicated staff works together as a team to provide high-quality patient care. We are here to serve you!
Dr. Christiano provides both clinical and forensic services that include: court-ordered counseling, psychological evaluations, and psycho-sexual evaluations; psycho diagnostic evaluations for education and/or treatment planning; psychological evaluations required for medical purposes (often required for specific types of surgery such as Bariatric and Spinal); and, assessments to complete ADA paperwork for accommodations in homes, schools, or employment. Should you need another type of evaluation, please ask.
We accept most major insurance plans. However, we cannot accept AHCCCS.

Dr Christiano received his BA Psychology and his MS Counseling from Canisius College, Buffalo, NY. He received a doctoral fellowship from Arizona State University and completed his PhD Counseling Psychology. Prior to his doctoral studies, he was a certified teacher, counselor, and school psychologist. More recently, he has been a clinical consultant to area adolescent and adult treatment facilities.
As a psychologist, he served as Clinical Director of both adolescent and children's treatment programs at St Luke's Behavioral Health Center and Westbridge Center for Children, both in the Valley. While there, Dr Christiano developed the first inpatient adolescent chemical dependency program in Phoenix, Arizona. It was also there that Dr Christiano conceptualized and implemented an interactive parenting program. He was a Consulting Psychological at Desert Samaritan Behavioral Health Center and a School Psychologist in the Gilbert, Arizona Public School District.
His specialized training includes both developmental counseling and assessment, as well as organizational development and consultation. Dr Christiano's doctoral internship experience included each of these areas as well as supervised training experience in employee assistance, where he worked with chemically dependent patients and their families. He focuses on brief therapy with an eclectic treatment approach and developmental framework for all age clients.
Recently, he taught graduate courses in Educational Psychology through the Educational Research Department at Northern Arizona University. He has also been a supervisor of Doctoral Practicum Students, Interns and Post-Doctoral students for the last several years.
Over time, Dr Christiano has done extensive work for the Superior Court of Arizona Family Court (Maricopa and Pinal counties) and he received the 2018 Top Doctor Award for Child and Forensic Psychologist in Arizona (Patient Reviews Certified).
Dr Christiano and his wife had a cabin in The White Mountains for several years and now make their permanent home here.
